jRipper is an cd ripper and audio converter made in java.
jRipper can encode and decode Wav, Flac, MP3, Ogg, AAC(M4A)
formats. It can also do transcoding between various formats.
Beware though that every transcoding deteriorate the quality
of the audio file.
jRipper works as an frontend to cdda2wav, lame, oggenc/oggdec,
flac and faac/faad programs, which does the actually
reading/encoding/decoding work.
jRipper can load track names for an CD from freedb.org by http
or using the cdda2wav program.
It should work on all platforms that has the right java version (1.5)
and the above mentioned encoder programs.
This package has no releases.
