Package details
So, this is DerMixD, an audio mixing and network-listening daemon
in the tradition of mixplayd (http://mixplayd.sourceforge.net) but
done quite differently. It does basically what mixplayd does:
* play music files on a configurable number of input channels
* mix them together
* be controlled over a tcp socket
For more details see README file.
Along with the new outputs for Linux/ALSA and Tru64/OSS, there is a
new sine generator as an input for fun. The API has been cleaned up
a bit and extended, as well as the set of command line parameters,
with more user friendliness and configurability in mind (this
includes verbose errors and an online help facility). The overall
playback stability is a major focus: repeated tests with fulll
background system load and examination of the dynamics between
buffer and playback threads has hopefully managed to provide a
local optimum.
